Our Suppliers: Müll Club

As well as selling our own handmade soaps, we’ve sourced items from suppliers who we feel fit in with our values (you can read more about our ethos here).

Müll.Club is an innovative small company based in London who make plastic items using plastic collected from their local community. Not only is this a great use of plastic waste, but their products are well designed and durable. We were searching for a company who made recycled plastic soap dishes for a while and were very pleased when we came across Müll as the design of their dishes were exactly what we were looking for!

It was a conscious decision to use recycled plastic as it is long lasting and is a good use of all the plastic waste around us. Good drainage was also particular requirement for us as our handmade soaps do not like sitting in water! There’s more about that on our blog post here.

Other soap dishes we considered were wood. We do use wooden soap dishes at home as well but find that after a while they can go black with use. Many wooden soap dishes are imported cheaply from India and China and we try to source as much as we can closer to home. Added to that, we don’t always know the provenance of the wood.

Finally handmade ceramic dishes look great, but aren’t always great when coming into contact with hard tiled floors!

Müll’s designs come in a range of colours and we have chosen 6 different colours to sell alongside our soaps. You can also buy them in bundles as gifts with our soap bars.
